Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21, 1983. Maggie Grace is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Her parents had divorced and she relocated with her mother in Los Angeles. She landed her debut role in the film, Rachel's Room's main character in 2001, despite having a difficult time financially. She went on to earn an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder in Greenwich. Grace was Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television show in 2004. The show featured her as the principal role for two seasons, and also won an award for her performance, a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace quit the show in 2005 to focus on a more significant role in film, appearing in the film Taken alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. She appeared as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken the year 2008) in Suburban Girl as well as The Jane Austen Book Club. She reprised her role in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern adaptation from the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played Shannon's part on Lost for two additional episodes. This included the series final. In 2013, she appears in Californianation, the sixth season. The role she plays is Faith an actress who is a muse for celebrities and attracts the eye of Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Maggie Gyllenhaal.........................Margalit Ruth Gyllenhaal ( born November 16 1977) is an American actress and filmmaker. Part of the Gyllenhaal family she is the child of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and the older sibling of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. In her early teens she appeared in small roles in her father's movies and was co-starring with her sister in Donnie Darko, a popular cult movie. She appeared next in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated to win the Golden Globe Award in both the drama Sherrybaby (2005) as well as the romantic comedy Secretary (2002). Both films were critically acclaimed. In the wake of several successful commercial films in 2006 including World Trade Center she received greater recognition for her performance as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). The role she played in Crazy Heart as a mother who is a single parent was nominated to an Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. She then appeared in dramas and comedies which included Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012 Some of her other characters include as a secret agent of the Secret Service in White House Down 2013 as well as a vocalist in Frank 2014 and as a singer as a singer in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, in which she plays the main character. Gyllenhaal began her professional career as screenwriter and director in 2021, when she directed and wrote the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter. The film was awarded Best Screenplay at the Venice International Film Festival, and was later nominated by the Academy Award.
