MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN which was his debut long-player for La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album reached the number 8 spot on the Top Latin Albums chart. The following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which was it was a Top Five hit. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel on Mala Influencia and debuted the album Dopamina the next year. In 2021, he performed in a duo performance with TINI on her cult online single Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo was born into the musical home of his family. Both his younger brother and his mother are both musicians. Interviews with him have described his involvement in music as mandatory. He learned how to play the guitar, saxophone the keyboard and the ukulele when he was when he was a child. His initial goal was to become a veterinarian the brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in singing classes with a Cuban instructor and as a result personally discovering his talent as a singer altered the course of his life.
